Who We Are
TATENDA FOUNDATION takes its name from the Zimbabwean Shona word Tatenda, which means Thank You. We express our thanks to those that have made a difference in our lives by serving others that are in need of help.

Our current target are the children of Banket, Zimbabwe.

Our Mission
The mission of TATENDA FOUNDATION is providing educational opportunities and resources to youths in small communities. Our pilot program is the community of Banket, Zimbabwe.
Our Approach and Objectives
  • Provide leadership training and financial resources to local community development programs
  • Identify projects and Initiate partnerships for on-site practitioners with US based and other international organizations with common missions
  • Spearhead fundraising and development projects for the local elementary and high schools
Our Priority Goals (2008-2009)
  • Partner with Community Development Network to facilitate the construction of a water storage tank at the local high school
  • Establish scholarship funds for local students
  • Advocate and spearhead fund raising efforts for  construction of a Library at the local high school
  • Provide support to the Marimba (xylophone) band at the elementary school
